Solar Energy Technologies Office  Welcome!  Thank you for signing up for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) mailing list. Here, we provide solar citizens like you with the latest updates from our office on funding opportunities, prize competitions, project selections, solar-related events, and more.   Get to Know SETO SETO's goal is to accelerate the development and deployment of solar technology to support an equitable transition to a decarbonized electricity system by 2035 and decarbonized energy sector by 2050. Achieving this goal will support the nationwide effort to meet the threat of climate change and ensure that all Americans benefit from the transition to a clean energy economy. To reach this goal, we fund research, development, demonstration, and technical assistance in seven research areas. What to Expect  You'll find us in your inbox around 4-6 times per month.
